3 Months Post-Op

It has been 3 months since my surgery. Sometimes I'm doing so great it's hard to remember that it's only been 3 months. Other times I'm in pain and it feels like just last week. BUT, those days are very few and far between. In fact, this week I went out and mowed the yard. Yes, it was on a riding mower (that the kids love). But to think that 3 months after MAJOR open-heart surgery I'm out mowing the yard. God is so good. I am so blessed to know the Great Physician.

January 2009, a couple days after surgery. (I was FURIOUS that they made me get out of bed and sit in the chair a couple times a day. It hurt so much.)

Now I only wish I had a picture of me out mowing!

That is amazing. Blown away that you'd be mowing the lawn this quick. God has a plan for your life - and some terrific healing is the pretty obvious! :)

You go!

That is awesome...I am sure the healing process is slow, but you are doing great...mowing the grass already? God is so good!

I had no idea that you had been through that! I'm so glad that you're doing better even if it means mowing the grass :)

Hey Shannon, nice to meet you! I see many many familiar faces here on your blog. Seems we have many of the same blogging buds.

I wish you the best with your recovery. Sounds as though God already has you in the palm of His hand. If I would have known you sooner I would have put our Prayer Soldiers on your surgery. If you would like to become a Prayer Soldier just grab the button and send in your request when you have one and I will post about it so that all the prayers soldiers can pray and share the story on their blogs. You of course will learn of many prayer request through Fort Thompson as well, many of which will help introduce you to other bloggers and their blogs. Seems prayer is also a great way to meet fellow christian bloggers!

Have a great weekend! Praying for your continued recovery.

Love and Prayers,

Tim
