Giveaway Winner, Prayer Requests, and Edward

I finally got around to choosing a winner for the giveaway I posted before my surgery in January. Almost 3 months later. But I didn't forget! And I sorta changed the rules...if you posted or said you would pray for me you were entered.

Congrats to Stacey over at McCrakensX4. I am so thankful for ALL your prayers during the time of my surgery!!!

Several people have been heavy on my heart this week. Most of you know about the problems little Stellan is having but if you aren't up to speed please head over to MckMama's blog and find out.

Next, heavy on my heart has been my sweet friend's son, Philip. So head over to AmyB's blog to find out about Philip. And while you're there, take some to time learn about Amy and the issues she is dealing with. Here's another family that could use some prayer warriors to lift them up.

Now on the lighter side. Edward Cullen. sigh The problem is with the sigh. See, it's not how most people sigh when they swoon over the name Edward. I am really out of the loop when it comes to Twilight. Haven't read the books and until a couple hours ago hadn't seen the movie. In fact, after the movie started I found out he was a vampire. My sigh is the sigh of someone who is slightly let down by Edward. I just didn't swoon. The movie was... decent/weird/twisted/vampire-ish. It just didn't click with me. Maybe I'll be more intrigued once I read the books. Just give me time I suppose. I'd really rather spend my time obsessing about a group of people who were in a plane crash on an island and are LOST. That I love.
